Looney Tunes samples

Most of the work I did in my professional life are licenced characters story books (lot of Scooby, Looney Tunes and Disney stuff). I really love drawing these characters, also they gave me a lot of looseness to my personal art. These are two sample pages I did for DC's Looney Tunes.

Been working on this project for a while, I'm still not able to show comic pages, but here goes some pinup images. I'll be posting the pages as soon as they're edited.

Clockwork Girl Pinup

This is a pinup collaboration for Clockwork Girl graphic novel, my first fully colored illustration. I'm already 38, and never been a lot into digital art, but recently I begun drawing with a tablet, and doing some coloring practice stuff, and really, really, enjoyed a lot, so I''ll keep posting digital works in the future.

First time I'm able to put this under a drawing, pencils, inks and COLOR by ME! (Ha!)

-I lost my girlfriend almost an hour ago, I've been looking in the neighborhood but I couldn't find her

-I came here looking for my wife, if you want we can look for them together.

How does your girlfriend looks like? I don't know her.

-She's tall, blonde, really gorgeus, great body, big tits, nice ass, and your wife?

-Eh?... wh... what.. eh?.. Ah!... My wife?!

I've began working for some of Panini titles, these are some pencil drawing of some graphic humor work called "OOPS", the kind that we get to see on MAD.

Back to PRODIGY

Having finished with some Disney books illustration I'm able to get full time at drawing this comic. Sometimes it takes me a day or two to get into the style, after spending the last weeks drawing licenced characters it's like my own style is a little offended. I can't just began drawing a page, first I spend some time making sketches and looking the already done pages to get into the mood.

Characters

These were done sometime ago, now I'm thinking better, a lot of time ago, about 8 years. I was trying different techniques, when I start trying to draw as a professional, Simon Bisley first works influenced me a lot. I really loved ABC warriors, Batman/Judge Dredd and Slaine.

Because Of personal issues while I was drawing these pages, I love what's going on them.

Tools

I do most of the inks in my pages, so my preference is color leads (0,5 and 2mm), if someone else is going to ink, 2mm HB lead and F wooden pencil.

Tommy

I love when I start receiving colored pages from a comic I draw. It's great looking what Lisandro decides to do with my pages, and this one is perhaps one of the I love the most.
Sometimes it's difficult telling what makes something so special (and this page doesn't have anything in particular), perhaps is when the colorist makes the same choices that I'll do if I were able to turn on a computer :).
